Raise a mug – to beer! The 2006 Brewgrass festival combines two Lawrence tradi- tions: great microwbrews and music. You’re invited to quaff responsibly and quench that microbrew craving, while indulging on great eats, and rocking out to the sounds of your favorite bands at this back to school event. The festival will host over 25 bands three music stages; the Main stage, the Gaslight Tavern local stage, and the Westside Folk stage. This year’s music lineup includes WAR, Keller Williams, and Oteil Burbidge. Along with the music, the festival will feature your favorite beers from McCoy’s Public House, Free State Brewery, 75th Street Brewery (Kansas City and Lawrence), Boulevard Brewery, and more to be announced. Time and Location: The festival will be held over two days - Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th - at Burcham Park in Lawrence, Kansas. Burcham Park is located just a few blocks from downtown at 2nd and Indiana in Lawrence. The gates will open at 4pm on Friday and at 1pm on Saturday. Music will continue until 11pm each day. For a limited time, a specially-priced two-day ticket will also be available.
