Here's a little info about a couple of the tunes on this page:
"Lantern Bowls" features samples I recorded of four stainless steel bowls from my kitchen. On "My Own Skin," I played the nylon string guitar and acoustic fretless bass guitar.
And here's a little info about me:
The instruments I play the most often are electric guitar (with or without a ridiculous array of effects pedals on the floor), nylon string acoustic guitar, steel string acoustic, acoustic fretless bass, banjo, electric bass, brass-body resonator guitar, piano, and keyboards/knobs through laptop computer. I also enjoy playing ukulele, zither, wood flutes, 12-string acoustic guitar, and any object from which I can coax a pleasing sound.
I love any chance to play improvisational music, or to play in the studio and try to add something to someone's project. I also love to score for any cool video, animation, film, or TV project.
I had a book published last year, my first as a solo author, called Using Reason's Virtual Instruments, which is all about giving the reader a solid, intuitive, gut-level understanding of synthesis techniques, specifically applicable to Reason software, but also applicable to designing sounds with any software or hardware synthesizers. I recently enjoyed an opportunity to guest lecture on this topic at the SAE Institute in Hollywood, and I think I'd like to do more guest lecturing and/or lead workshops on this in the future.
