About Me

John von Seggern is a producer, sound designer, bassist and DJ, relocated to Southern California in 2001 after a decade spent in Asia (Tokyo and Hong Kong) performing and recording with some of the region's most influential artists.
von Seggern now lives in Los Angeles, where he performs live experimental techno and runs net.label Vibration Institute. His latest musical explorations include sound design projects working with composers Thomas Newman and Paul Haslinger as well as producing electronic jazz group Simplexity (a collaboration with Los Angeles studio musicians Steve Tavaglione, Judd Miller, Gary Novak, John Beasley and Dave Carpenter).
More info on recent projects on his website or the Vibration Institute site http://www.vibrationinstitutemusic.com
John von also plays bass with LA-area darkwave band Black Cat.
