Birth of Houdini's Voice
Before birth I made Tibetan sand paintings (prior to Chinese occupation), and from what I can remember I was moderately successful at capturing the 'moment', before sweeping it away, which quickly became my favorite part.
I was subsequently born in a hospital in downtown Oklahoma to two parents arguing over what my name should be. They settled on the first letter of thier first names. Hence my aversion to ego, not to mention middle america.
At the age of 18 I recieved $800 from the U.S. government for being .064% Shawnee, which is ironic because the other %99.036 was responsible for thier extinction.
After squandering my $800 on skateboarding I set off in search of music, which led me around the world....just far enough to realize we are living a dream, one giant hazy dream with small pockets of time big enough to slip through...and wake up...but they're really, really small. So I'm reading books on quantum physics and ayahuascaros to figure out how to fit in them.
In the meantime I make sounds for my favorite artform, the one who's artists we pour all of our time into objectifying, like TomKat....uh...wait....shit that's not a good example....um....nevermind.
My art depends on technology but I realize its impermanence. Everything here is part of something bigger, so I take audio pictures of the future in order to contribute to the past, more for myself than anyone really, although you are a reflection of me, so on some level this is for you....dig?
