The Lamont Jazz Orchestra
The Lamont Jazz Orchestra is the flagship large ensemble of the Jazz Studies and Commercial Music Program at the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver. Performing ensembles are open by audition to the entire DU student body and include three big bands, eleven combos, a studio orchestra, and The Climb - the jazz faculty. These ensembles present over forty concerts per year on the DU campus and other locations. The award-winning program offers a flexible Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies and Commercial Music with emphasis in performance, composition, and arranging, and a Bachelor of Music with an concentration in Audio Production, and Master of Music degrees with an emphasis in Jazz Studies.
