To all da' young people i work with & i've gotten a chance to meet. Ya mean the world to me. I enjoy long walks on the beach or an emcee cypher, traveling all over world..meeting people and seeing what the world has to offer. From Costa Rica, to London to San Francisco, LA & Venice Beach.... i love it all from thai food to sushi. But I'm dominican - so there is nothing like coming home to a cuchifrito spot to get a plate of rice with beans, chicken, salad... the works... i'm just me. I love sneakers & hip-hop, i'm old school.. i musta been a bgirl in a past life and an emcee in this one. I'm going to change the world while sportin' the hottest pair of kicks... watch me! Known as Cuervot?n, the contest will serve as a platform for exposure to unsigned artists, ensuring the longevity of Latinos in the music industry in partnership with, BMI, Gibson, Def Jam’s Roc La Familia and Atlantic Records. The grand prize - we won two dope electric guitars, our track will be on the Estudio201 mixtape and we'll join the Cuervoton 2008 tour on the road to major cities in the US with Pitbull, Malverde, Chingo Bling, Nina Sky, Notch and Joell Ortiz. BIO: PattyDukes is a phenomenal Latina Hip-Hop Artist. An Emcee, Actress, Writer and Filmmaker. Dominican and Puerto Rican by way of the Boogie Down Bronx. PattyDukes is the 2007 Cuervotón Winner, Cuervotón is the national talent search that swept the nation looking for raw unsigned Latino talent. Cuervotón hit all the major cities from New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, & Phoenix looking for next big star and found PattyDukes. PattyDukes’ background is in Theater, where she learned to hone her craft of performing and writing. She was a member of a youth theater troupe called Urban Youth Theater at the Abrons Art Center. PattyDukes has performed in numerous plays and staged readings. In the Fall of 2007, PattyDukes will be playing the role of Nancy in Till Da Break of Dawn written and directed by Obie award winning actor/playwright Danny Hoch. The play is being produced by world-renowned theater company, The Culture Project.
