RephStar (aka MiLs) is an MC, producer, mixed media visual artist and businessman from Washington Heights, NYC. Growing up entrenched in an environment where Hip-Hop is not just a type of music but a way of life, Reph developed his passion for spoken word and the Visual Arts through cyphering on street corners and tagging up throughout Manhattan and the Bronx. That coupled with a passion for technology, history and social change is what led him to the work he is doing today with graphics, video and sound. Reph visions his work as a reflection of the human experience through the eyes of the Hip-Hop generation. Currently he can be found performing throughout the East Coast, hosting rhyme workshops for adolescents in the South Bronx, and in the studio working on his first indie EP tentatively titled “Makings of a Man,†with his production company the New School Artist and the MC collective The Rhyme Factory. Reph and his artwork is also currently featured on the cable network “The-N,†and on their website as a part of their celebration of Black History month.
