The Doolittles

We Were Hillbillies When Hillbillies Weren't Cool

About Me

Straight from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky come The Doolittles, a firecracker of a duo joining the music of the past with the modern influences of a new generation. These boys grew up just a county or two apart. Both were raised with a passion for their home, its music and its people. It's in their blood and flows throughout their music. You can hear it in the pining of "Foreign Lander," in the fatalism of "Should I Die Tonight (For Jude)," and in the frustration of "A Ton On My Shoulder." These songs, along with "Fall On My Knees," are taken from their self-produced first album, titled Pine to Pine, a field recording of sorts that will benefit the Hindman Settlement School and lays the groundwork for a studio album to be released in 2007.
