Rowie plays a blend of electro house, house, electro, and Techno, a fan of the acapella, he also mixes in classic 80s and 90s tunes like to add diversity to his sound. Rowie is a big fan of the Detroit style of mixing, where you mix two or three tracks together to create the magic third track. Rowie Started getting into the live music scene in 1997/98 doing work experience with JJJ on live recordings and outside broadcast (Falls, Offshore and live at the wireless events). In 2000 after doing some traveling OS he completed Sound Production at RMIT which opened the door to work at Duffield Kenihan (DK). DK was a production studio in South Melbourne where Andrew Duffield (the Models) would compose scores of music for TV/Cinema commercials with Bill Miller and Phil Kenihan would Produce and master the score. After doing 2 years at DK learning all he needed to know about running a studio he left to give live sound another go and bought his first turntables. Rowie worked at Mclean Sound for 12months (Grand Prix, Anzac March, International Flower and Garden Show). From doing friends birthday parties Rowie soon found himself playing Sundays at 161, which lead to landing residencies at Eleven a with Spacey Space, Fractured on Fridays and starting his own night at Blue bar (Sundays nights). Rowie has supported Jungle Brothers, Alex Kid, Teifscwartz , Ewan Pearson, B.L.I.M, Drumatic Twins, DJ Food, Elite Force, Hipp-E, DJ Hyper, Adam Freeland, Spectrum (live), Propeller Heads, Perry Farrel and has played Beats on the Beach (NYD Byron Bay), SummaDayz, Two Tribes and other large scaled events. Late in 2004 Chris from Fractured approached Rowie to do an electro room at a Breaks event at Platform One, Rowie took up Chris’ offer and named the night Bamboozled. Hours before the venue was meant to open it was apparent that Bamboozled was going to be huge, so the breaks moved into the side room and Bamboozled took over the main room. Since then Bamboozled has been a reglular event, it had a fantastic 12 months at Platform One, and is now found at different venues around Melbourne, it is currently still rocking the Melbourne scene. Bamboozled’s sister parties also rock the scene with “Bamboozled B-side†which is designed for side-room entertainment and “Bandboozled†which is more live/band orientated. Rowie plays at many venues and events besides Bamboozled. More often than not you can find Rowie at Melbourne's most popular venues Revolver, onesixone, Platform One, Q Bar, and Cushion Lounge.
