Great Big TOMomma Hugs!!
William ( a.k.a. "B-Brizzle") Browning's blogs are, for the most part, a compilation of short stories and essays, often (but not always) uproariously humorous in nature.
Several themes run throughout his work. Read about the hilarious, but true, antics of his mom, Peggy. Get to know and love all the funny, sometimes heartbreaking, characters he meets and events he experiences while working in a nursing home that he calls "Waiting-To-Die Manor." Enjoy his blogs (basically rants), about how being gay and 53 years old can make dating a real challenge.
Bill began writing his priceless stories to help him deal with losing his mother. He writes of her always with great love and humor. His goal was, and is, to "resurrect" Peggy.
Bill still loves to introduce his wonderful, wacky mom to new people. The unintentional humor of Peggy is a substantial force in Bill's work and will make you laugh out loud.
You will also be intrigued by a unique, honest, and near-voyeuristic glimpse into this marvelous man's life, as well as into a wide range of predicaments he continues to get into, from poignant life-changing milestones to a near-casual, and comic, approach to everyday reality. Bill is beyond amazing.
Readers, you will feel this writer's heart break the moment he first realizes his father, who brought him bags full of books and took him out for ice cream every weekend when he was a boy, was in love with a man--a secret his father carried to his grave.
You will chuckle when he shares with you how he supervised his horrified nephew, a rookie nurse's aide, through a first adult-diaper change for a frisky 90-year-old woman with a spit-showering lisp.
There aren't enough superlatives to describe the total and complete joy that one takes away from reading just one of B-Brizzle's blogs, and no way in a few paragraphs to make clear what a treat this man and his work are.
Please, do yourself a favor and read just one blog. You'll be hooked!

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived.
This is to have succeeded.

Women's shelters in the U.S. go through thousands of tampons and pads monthly, and, while agencies generally assist with everyday necessities such as toilet paper, diapers, and clothing, this most basic need is often overlooked. You and I may take our monthly trips down the feminine care aisle for granted, but, for women in shelters, a box of tampons is five dollars they can’t spare. Here’s some good news: you can help us contribute to rectifying this situation by making a virtual donation below!
For each virtual donation, Seventh Generation will send a pack of organic cotton tampons or chlorine-free pads to a shelter in your state. Please click on the Seventh Generation logo to give your virtual donation to the TamPontification project.

"Sometimes it takes a crazy
person to see the truth.
If so, I'm a freaking lunatic!"
~ Stephen Colbert ..
"And on this show, on this show your voice will be heard... in the form of my voice. 'Cause you're looking at a straight-shooter, America. I tell it like it is. I calls 'em like I sees 'em. I will speak to you in plain simple English."
"And that brings us to tonight's word: truthiness."
"Now I'm sure some of the Word Police, the wordanistas over at Webster's, are gonna say, "Hey, that's not a word." Well, anybody who knows me knows that I'm no fan of dictionaries or reference books. They're elitist. Constantly telling us what is or isn't true, or what did or didn't happen. Who's Britannica to tell me the Panama Canal was finished in 1914? If I wanna say it happened in 1941, that's my right. I don't trust books. They're all fact, no heart." ~ Stephen Colbert

Mike Pinder started the Moody Blues back in 1965 and his great voice and mellotron gave the band a sound that still echoes down rock's hallways.
Decades later the name Pinder is back, this time with Mike's two sons, Matt and Michael Lee, throwing their hats into the rock arena as The Pinder Brothers.
Give a listen to the Pinder Brothers and you'll hear the sounds of pop's past merging into the future: classic '60s pop, the post punk, heady sound of the MTV '80s and the retro pop resurgence of the '90s mix things up the the finest Pinder tradition.
Give a listen!

I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.
