Spiro Sinigos

Spiro Sinigos, drummer and composer, is a 21 year old native of Grand Rapids, Michigan who is currently moving to New York City. He began his professional career in 2001 playing locally during highschool with Downbeat award winning pianist Keaton Royer. In 2003, Spiro was in the All-State Jazz Combo and he was selected to perform with the Youth Arts All-State Jazz Ensemble in 2004. He recieved a special citation for Outstanding Musicianship with the WMU Jazz Octet in 2007 from the International Association of Jazz Educators. He has studied with Louis Sinigos, Tim Froncek, Rupert Kettle, Judy Moonert, Keith Hall, Scott Cowan, Billy Hart, and Vince Cherico. Spiro recieved his bachelor's degree in jazz studies in 2008 from Western Michigan University and will attend CUNY Queens College graduate jazz program in the fall. He has recorded with the End of Times Orchestra and is currently working on his first album. Spiro enjoys Mario Kart, Macaroni and Cheese with hotdogs, ER, dancing, and aqua teen hunger force.
