Hello there! I was born in 1512, and I am the sixth and last wife of Henry VIII. I am the daughter of Thomas Parr of Kendal, a modest country squire who had distinguished himself in the service of both Henry VII and Henry VIII. I was first married to Sir Edward Burough, but was widowed shortly after in 1529. My second husband was Sir John Nevill, Lord Latimer. He was a wealthy landowner in Yorkshire and had an estate there called Snape Hall. He died in 1542 and we had no children. By this time, I was becoming well known for my learning and overall sensitive and caring nature. I was also gaining an interest in the rising Protestant faith. Henry VIII and I were married July 12, 1543. Henry's health had been declining such that I was as much a nurse as anything else. I managed to soothe the King's temper and bring his family closer together. Although I was scarcely older than the Princess Mary, she, along with Elizabeth and Edward, saw me as a stabilizing mother figure. I arranged for the best tutors for the children and encouraged them in their learning. I outlived Henry. I then married Thomas Seymour and became pregnant with his child, on August 30, 1548, my daughter Mary was born, sadly I didn't live long enough to watch her grow I died in childbirth on September 5.
