I'm never as good as when you're there.

About Me

Howdy.
My name is John and I like noise. I play my effects moreso than my instrument. I'm a producer, guitarist, frontman/vocalist, keyboardist, bassist, and laptop jockey. I play guitar/keys/laptop and sometimes surrogate bass in Juniper Lane . I front Rotoscope with Courtney Totushek. I make electronic music with DJ Kynz in Boboroshi and Kynz . I used to play bass and keyboards for two years in Honor by August . On occasion, I've been known to play/abuse accordian, mandolin, and doublebass.
I run a project studio with Brian "Freddy" Frederick (Juniper Lane bassist) called "Borealis" until we come up with a better name (or simply are too lazy to change it). We also have a project together that we're just starting and we produce and perform with Jenn Morson under the moniker of "The Aurora Lovely".
I started working on a solo record this summer and have about 5 songs written so far. I hope to finish it before the winter. It will pop the proverbial cherry of Borealis studios and we'll see how it turns out.
I'm currently writing, recording, performing or doing God knows what with the following other bands as well: The Known Unknowns, Justin Trawick, Phil Rossi and the Bad Habit, Narcissus (Phil's electronica effort), Wes Charlton, The VGC, Leyla Akdogan, and anyone else that will let me plug in.
If you're interested in working with me, drop me a line.
I used to run the open mic with Josh Howe at Dr. Dremo's almost every Thursday night. We handed it off to Derek Avry, but alas, the venue is no more.
Enjoy!
