Maybe it's time I changed this bio bit.
I was born in Flushing Queens (that's within NYC limits) and I feel like a gypsy. I lived in Sunnyside in Queens, then to Manhattan, then to Brooklyn, then back to Manhattan, spent a year 40 minutes north of Boston, then back to Manhattan, then to DC, then to suburban DC (Maryland). I finally settled back home in Manhattan. Phew.
My life right now is essentially about going to concerts and shows. Not too many people in my life know about this because all they know is that I work in finance and go to church. But that's not the true me. I go to shows because music is the one thing that has freed me from my everyday reality. Being able to go to shows is my true indicator for why I live.
Yes, I do a little singing of my own. Pat McGee heard me sing on The Rock Boat VII and said I had quite the voice (despite it being rather raspy and not at par at the moment). Lately, my extent to which I sing is limited to me leading worship services at church, where I am continuing to hone my craft in not just singing, but performing as well. Hopefully I'll get some original stuff out there and do shows like those that have inspired me.
I also think that The Rock Boat is the Super Bowl for concert whores. Just like in NASCAR where they start off their season with the biggest race of them all, The Daytona 500, The Rock Boat kicks it off for us concert whores. It's usually the first thing on our concert calendar for the year.
I have been so blessed and honored to have met so many people that have an influence in my life, even if it's a small bit of it. I am grateful for the many friends I have all over this country that share my same passions and desires.
You should live your life as one big experience that you wish you could write a book about when it's all over.
