Rotoscope is a band from Washington DC with a broad and varied cast of characters including (present and past) John Athayde, Courtney Totushek, Eduardo Rios, Leyla Akdogan, Jaime Martin, Brian Frederick, Dave McGregor, Marc Milot, Carl Raether, Drew Pathwick, Phil Golub, and more. They are currently recording their full length at Lowwatt Studios in Raleigh, NC for release in 2007. Here's some stuff other people blabed about them:
"If Our Lady Peace, Jesus Jones, Jeff Buckley and U2 had a baby, it'd probably sound like Rotoscope. Guitarists/singers Courtney Totushek and John Athayde blend their respective styles (Totushek is an accomplished acoustic singer-songwriter, and Athayde is a mad scientist of guitar effects and production), resulting in shimmery, driving alt rock that makes us eager to hear the full-length that they're recording now."

"The clever quintet sure know how to put a song together–and how to put it over.
- Washington City Paper PopQuiz
"Rotoscope continues to win over live audiences with their full, rich blend of natural instruments, vocal harmonies and electronic enhavements that make for a full rock sound in the vein of Radiohead, Peter Gabriel and U2, on Rotoscope has the distinct feminine touch of Courtney Totushek to set them apart..."
