Some Words About Nathan Clay
Nathan Clay was born in Cullman Alabama. And that is where most of his family is still. Nathan Went to a country school in Morgan County Alabama. But moved around the country so much by the time he was leaving elementary school he had been in 6 different schools. Lived on a farm in Morgan county Alabama. And Morgan County we moved into the heart of Detroit Michigan. Where he spent the next 8 years. He started singing at the age of 3 years old. Loved music. I thought it was magic. And I still do. It is one of God's highest forms of communication we have between one another. We can speak to the souls of our Brothers and Sisters with music. We can hear a song one time and never forget it. Though some people you may spend a great deal of time with them and can not remember their name. Music has brought me great heart break. And it has kept me saint. It has brought me to brink of death and lead to the great creator. And this is where I aim to stay. I believe that God gives us all gifts. And they will be best used in His service. The songs you hear on this site at this time. Are older songs. A few years ago I was almost dead. And I believe that I was kept alive by our father for a reason and in his service I will stay. I was given many gifts. Gifts of knowing that forgiveness is the key to fully loving others. Once you have emptied your self of anger, hate, and vengeance. You can fill your self with love. And give that love away. This is the source of the greatest joy you will ever know. Like the Joy of Christmas gifts. Given to remember the Christ Child. This giving also brings you Joy of wonderful measure. I have learned that many of us mortals. Build houses of match sticks. And then spend our life trying to keep them from falling down. When all along we are standing in fields of Diamonds. A diamond is a miracle in this case. Every thing that happens to us good or bad, if we look for the best in it no matter how much we are hurt or over joyed. You find what you look for. If you look for anger or bad things to fear. That is what you will find. If you look for the good things the Beautiful side of life. You will find beauty. You will find that you are standing in a field of diamonds. God's Miracles are all around us. If we just look for the good which is around us always. We will find that a miracle is at the end of everything that happens if we seek it. By looking for the good things to come. And this is what makes me who I am. I was not always thinking like this. But I believe with all my heart. That to love if only one time. Is better to love and Die. Than to never have loved at all. Before all this happen to me. I spent allot of time on the road. I have been in every city in 46 of the 48 lower states. On every freeway from one and to the other. I can travel to any place in this country with out a map. I left home at 16 years old. And hitched hiked and jumped freight trains all over the country. Looking for adventure and things to write about. And to learn how to play and sing well. I have had more life times than I can count of adventures now. I have played and written songs on some of the high mountains of the Rockies. And down by the Oceans. The most beautiful music I ever heard was when I was sitting in the desert and I was listing to the wind blow through the weeds. I tuned my guitar to the pitch of the wind and started to play with the wind. This changed the way I played. Some of what I heard is in the songs of this site now. Later on I went back to a slower life and spent many years playing in Rock and roll and Country Bars in Detroit. And I played with some of the best Players in the country. I was playing in the wildest of the Honky tonks In Detroit. I have played in most parts of the USA now. But I loved to play in the wildest craziest Honky tonks you can ever find. Places where there were gun fights and people getting crazy trying to kill each other. I was making a great living playing in clubs. And one day I just said I have done this enough and I walked out. I had one of the top bands in Detroit. I had work every night of the week if I wanted it. And decided to just play in my studio and write songs. This is what I wanted to do from the start. Playing in clubs was just getting paid to practice. There were many years I did not take my Guitar out of the case unless I was getting paid. I am so glad to say that now I take out the guitar and am working writing songs and singing songs. At least the new songs. Are to give all the people on this earth a vision into the mind of Gods intent for us. And this is the highest thing I ever hope to do. I want to write and sing songs that cause people to seek the face of GOD. In short that is who I am. He that is in me is stronger than he that is in the world. Peace is with you. Nathan Clay.
Joy is like a Shining light.My wish to you.
I hope that all who read this will find them self's. saying Hmmm? I wonder.? I want to tell you about the light which shines far off on a hill. A hill that as long as you travel you see it is not really any closer. But the light is so beautiful that you want so badly to feast in it's glow. The peace it gives you is so much like bliss. Then one day when you are old and wiser you realize the light is truth and the only way you can get close to it is to become the light. How do you do that you say? An angel whispered to me once. When I was face down and dying. The angel said. what are you going to do? You are almost dead.? What can I do, every thing I do seems to go wrong. You tell me I say almost nasty.! And the Angel said. Forgive everyone for everything they have ever done to you. I stop breathing for a moment. Think , Then I said OK I'll do it. So I did. I say to the angel now what? Immediately the angel said. Now fill your self with love. again the words took my breath away. Thinking about it then I say OK.! And I did that so now cocky I say now what.! Immediately again the angel said now give all your love away. Again I lost my breath. I must have had a puzzled look on my face because the angel said. Love does not live till you give it away. I am breathless. The angel followed with you can not own love.! It must be given to you. If you try to capture it and keep it for your self it dies. It must be given freely. The angel has silenced me. I am dumbfounded and meek in my thoughts and almost in tears. because I know I am in the presence of some thing as close to holy as I have ever known. The angel said love is like a river of living water. The river flows and washes the banks away so the river becomes larger as it flows. so more of the living water will flow. So the more love you give away. The more love you get back to give away. you can never out give love. It gets bigger as you give it away. I am crying with joy and humbled by this light of truth. So I did just as the angel said. I cleansed my self with forgiving each moment and let the river of love flow into my heart. And gave it away to all I met along the way. And I found that those that were hurting and hard and cruel were like sponges that needed more love than anyone else. And they were the most willing to receive love. Those hard cases that everyone loved to hate because they were so tuff. Love softened their hearts and they became the best of friends. The most loving and loyal of all. they had the most to gain. And I found something that I was not expecting. It was this..! The more love I gave away expecting nothing to be given back to me. The more Joy I received. It is like giving gifts at Christmas do you remember how wonderful it makes you feel to give a gift to someone that really is touched by the giving. It is not the gift but that you thought of them. And joy is swelling in your heart. I tell you true.! Forgive fill your self with love and give it away to all you meet no matter who they are. And expect nothing in return. And your joy will be lasting as long as you do this. And as long as you forgive and never hate or have anger again. You will be filled with joy. This I promise you. And you will see others coming toward you with wonder on their face. Because you have become the light of truth shining on the hill top. So beautiful so of wonder. I promise this to be so. If I had millions of dollars. I could give you no greater gift than this truth. You will find one day. That truth became flesh and walks the earth. Love to all Nathan Clay.
