About Me

JoyEngin is the solo project of drummer Walker Adams who is best known for his work with indie pop artist St. Vincent, and bassist Percy Jones. The 25-year-old drummer sings and plays drums and keyboard all at the same time, shattering the limits of the solo musical performance. JoyEngin's sound is electro-rock/drum & bass, and displays influences of Beck, Brazilian Girls, Prince, and The Beastie Boys. With innovative technique JoyEngin creates the sound of a full band and delivers a high-energy performance. JoyEngin's latest album "The Power Of One" was recorded live in the studio. Vocal and instrumental over-dubs were used sparingly to enhance the live performance.
