I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I serve on the Board of Directors at a Museum and I'm a graduate student in Museum Science (cultural heritage preservation & management). My areas of interest include: Ancient Egypt, Asia, heritage law, and archaeological conservation, but I tend to focus on researching historical and modern ornamentation (jewelry/beads/etc) which inspires me to design and create all kinds of jewelry, although I work primarily with fused/dichroic glass and metal. I also teach jewelry making techniques & workshops.

I'm Scots-Irish/German/French and Gypsy (Gitano).

My friends list is based on how much we interact, or I admire you, or you inspire me, or maybe I just like looking at your picture, okay...?

My Interests

If it has to do with History (Anthropology/Archaeology, Linguistics) I'm interested! (Also, any occult or paranormal subjects, including Cemetery research.) I attend historical re-enactments, cultural events, and visit Disneyland as often as possible. I love to discover historical recipes, or create new ones! I often go hunting for antiques and vintage goodies (especially Tiki bar stuff). I enjoy working on illustration projects, costume designs, or whatever else spontaneously manifests! I also do some freelance writing, and I'm in a voice-over group. Sometimes I play World of Warcraft. I'm into scifi, horror, comics, graphic novels, goth/lolita, retro, vintage, pop ulture, tattoos, belly dancing, RPG's...
Did I mention, I love cats?

I'd like to meet:

Musicians, filmmakers, curators, historians, archaeologists, project collaborators, dreamers, creators, philosophers, artists, gypsy wanderers with adventures to share, hopeless romantics, lost souls... and maybe someone who could teach me how to surf?!

In the spotlight, to name a few:
Michael Cremo, Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, Dr. Richard Boylan, Colin Wilson, Jack Nicholson, Rupert Sheldrake, Alan Rickman, Christopher Lee, Dave McKean, Danny Elfman, Udo Kier, B B King, John Carpenter, Jeffrey Combs, H R Giger, Robert Englund, Marty Sklar, Gitane Demone, Brian De Palma, Craig Ferguson, Peter Gabriel, Jacqueline Carey, Larry King, Anthony Hopkins, Grace Jones, Greg Bear, Desmond Morris, Nathan Fillion, Edward James Olmos.

WHATS NEW WITH ME?

I was offered an opportunity to do museum collection archiving and management.
I was given the task of Production Design for our big Museum event in October!
I am selling some jewelry designs at a store in Pahrump. I'll be holding workshops there soon!
Proving I'm insane by volunteering to organize the CSTS this year (again). It will be held on August 2.
I'm working on a website/portfolio, and I set up an Etsy store - finally!
This summer I'm studying Egyptology & Egyptian Hieroglyphs!
I'm Beta testing the LGW card game.
I'm developing a new Ren Faire guild, for re-enactments and historical education (I have finally started up a group page for it).
I'm trying to redo my new Faire garb!
