Worldwide Pride:
From parades to marches, rallies to festivals, gay prides worldwide share a common goal—to promote LGBT visibility among the larger community. In major urban areas such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, hundreds of thousands of people flock to designated sections of their cities to partake in a slew of activities and entertainment. Last fall in Israel, according to a report by Time Magazine, an unknown extremist Jewish group offered $500 for every LGBT person killed during World Pride 2006.

But I remember sitting there thinking the film would have been a whole lot better if they’d let Tom Cruise go down on Brad Pitt. The Lair may not have Tom or Brad, but the latest original series from here! Networks boasts far more than that Anne Rice “adaptation†would have ever been allowed to show. This is homoerotic entertainment at its finest: The story of a sex club that takes the bite of lovemaking to a whole new level.
Cyndi’s True Colors Shine On
Long the gay rights activist, Cyndi Lauper made a couple calls, rallied the troops and spearheaded what promises to be the mother of all gay rights tours—the True Colors tour, with a portion of monies benefiting the Human Rights Campaign. On the road with Cyndi are gay and gay-friendly luminaries Erasure, Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Margaret Cho, The Dresden Dolls, The Gossip and The Misshapes—with Rosie and the Indigo Girls dropping by at several stops, it’s a veritable “Homo-palooza.â€
