It is sometimes difficult for lesbian women to maintain a strong identity in an often homophobic society. Hence, Downetowne's mission is to build a hip and social environment where lesbians who are facing the same challenges can gather to interact and build relationships in a safe and non-discriminate manner.
DowneTowne is a collaboration of 3 ladies who are committed to the promotion of a refreshingly original lesbian scene in Hawaii. Together we will bring you a new vision of unity through monthly parties catered to all lesbians and friends who desire a safe haven to express themselves. Each party will be themed to create a new vibe and will include one unique factor that will make our events like no other lesbian event on the island. Things are better when you're DowneTowne!
