Disdained was founded in the summer - 2005 by Therése Thomsson, Niklas Dahlin and Henrik Juhano. The goal was to write and play heavy music with influences from bands like Rammstein, Nightwish, Disturbed, Evanescence and Korn, but nowadays, Disdained has found its own unique sound.
Henrik and Niklas played earlier in the power metal band - Insania (Stockholm). They released 3 studio albums with Insania: World of Ice (1999), Sunrise in Riverland (2001) and Fantasy - A New Dimension (2003).
Between 2005 and 2007 Disdained have had several members that had shorter periods in the band, but it wasn’t until the end of 2007 that Disdained felt complete. The bass player Tomas Stolt from Insania (Stockholm) joined Disdained during the spring of 2007. During the fall of 2007 the experienced drummer Johan Persson joined forces with Disdained and the band was complete.
Tough Disdained is an unsigned band the band has received a lot of good reactions from many parts around the world. Radio stations in both USA and Europe have played Disdained with good response from the listeners. Disdained has also done interviews with magazines, radio stations and web magazines. The future of Disdained seems very bright and the world of metal hasn’t heard the last of this band.
