Oxjam Leeds 2007 Has Arrived!

About Me

Oxjam - 31 days full of life-changing music. Oxjam is one huge UK wide music festival taking place in October, nationwide, to raise lots of cash for Oxfam. Following the success of last year's events we're really hoping that this year will be an even bigger success and we can help to MAKE MUSIC RAISE MONEY END POVERTY.

Visit www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam to find out more about how you can get involved.

To give you an idea of what kind of things you could do, here are some of the bloody marvellous events that happened in Leeds for Oxjam 2006.... The Oxjam Team put on some great stuff, including: swing night with the big heat ; Capri and the lovely Cara Robinson playing ace sets in Hifi; The Voom Blooms headlining The Fav followed by the Babyshambles aftershow party; and some brilliant in-stores at the Oxfam shop in town, including Duels and The Lodger . Brainwash Festival raised over £2500 and featured the best bands from Leeds and further a field. A dangerously good time was had by all at Wrathstonbury

The Research , Napoleon IIIrd and Mi Mye played Chantry Chapel -ahhhhhh Chiara L's raised A LOT of money and made A LOT of people very happy Mark Newton was a champion and did a rather good exhibition, with prints for sale. Pay him lots of money to take pictures for you. He's very good

Sandinista did a month long series of events. Fraternise them frequently in the future, and Oxjam Regional Co-ordinator Alison made a tit of herself by dressing up as a monkey and dancing in the Oxfam shop window like a monkey with a miniature cymbal
