About Me

Nowthen,I started out djing as Doctor Strange in 1988 on Leeds pirate radio LFM-Lethal FM and in 1990 ICR-Inner City Radio where I became the UKs first dj to play a weekly British hip hop ONLY radio show. In 1991 i got into hardcore rave and in 1993 I started making music on the Amiga 500 along with DJ Battlescar we were called Take No Toys. In 1994 as Doctor Strange I became resident mc at Happy Headstrong,Mabgate Mills,Leeds along with DJ Chana. By 1995 the sound of Take No Toys had changed to a harder gabba sound and so a name change was needed and Extrement was formed. In 1998 we hooked up with DJ UEP and DJ Smurf from the Geordie Gabba Mafia and got our first release on DJ Freaks label Hard Of Hearing (No.8 GGM Vs Extrement). We had further releases in 1999 and 2000 on The Kiillout compilations on Suburban Trash Records along with a cd release on Fairway records. In 1999/2000 we also started running regular hardcore nights in Leeds called Live Fast And Die Hard and also did a few dodgy pa's at various nights alongside the Geordie Gabba Mafia. Since then I've held regular on/off nights dedicated to eclectic/mash up mixes called Cut N Paste. In 2005 I set up a hip hop project called The Gipton Removal Firm which is what you have here! Check out www.themixingbowl.org for various mixes of all the above
