About Me

Emily Bezar has been writing songs since she was a little girl living three blocks from the beach in southern California. When she wasn't bodysurfing and checking out the lifeguards, she was practicing away at the piano, forging her unique blend of classical, pop and jazz. Emily spent her college years studying opera and electronic music at the Oberlin Conservatory, one of the USA's best music schools. But soon after graduating she abandoned her operatic ambitions to explore the maze of sounds in her head and began to experiment in her own small home studio. After putting out three independent albums and paying her dues in San Francisco's rock and jazz clubs during the 90's, she followed her muse to southern France in 2001 and in late 2004 she released her 4th and most recent album, "Angels' Abacus", written in a house on a hill near the Mediterranean.
