About Me

Primates Incorporated is a nonpartisan, nonprofit primate welfare organization whose mission is to provide retired monkeys with permanent housing in a naturalistic, indoor/outdoor sanctuary in Southwestern Wisconsin. The sanctuary will be home to monkeys who are retired from research facilities, the exotic pet trade, zoos, and the entertainment industry.
We are an animal welfare organization that seeks to include viewpoints from all parties involved in primate retirement - both current and former scientific researchers and animal welfare advocates serve on our boards and as volunteers.
Our mission is to increase primate retirement throughout the nation, and eventually, the world, and if you're willing to support this mission, then we are happy to have you aboard!
If you want to help with the sanctuary planning process, our monthly meetings are held from 6-8pm at:
In the Company of Thieves Coffeehouse
908 E. Johnson Street
Madison, WI 53704
Our next meeting:
Tuesday, February 12th
All are welcome!
If you are unable to attend the meetings in person, but would like to lend us a hand from a remote location, please view our volunteer opportunities at www.primatesinc.com/volunteer
Any assistance you can provide in helping us help the monkeys is greatly appreciated. Send us an e-mail ([email protected]) or check out our site for more information.

My Interests

Donations to help us build our monkey sanctuary can be made via our fiscal agent at JustGive.org (their website is security and password protected). Please donate here .

Primates Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions.

We thank you kindly, on behalf of the monkeys, for your generosity!

I'd like to meet:

Just Coffee Fair Trade coffee lovers (try our Upright Blend, just $8/bag!), monkey lovers, artists, musicians, writers, necklace/jewelry makers, zoo keepers, primate biologists/behaviorists, veterinary scientists, animal trainers, architects, lawyers, construction workers, college students/graduates, local and animal friendly businesses

And you - if you are committed to helping monkeys live out their retirements in a peaceful, naturalistic environment.
