About Me

Suzie Vinnick is an award-winning singer, songwriter and musician. She was nominated for the Mapleblues 2006 Female Vocalist and Bassist of the Year and also nominated with Rick Fines for Best Acoustic Act and Songwriter of the Year. She was nominated best Blues Artist at the Toronto Independent Music Awards. In 2006 she won 3rd place in the Blues Category of the Unisong International songwriting contest with her co-write “The Honey I Want”. “The Honey” also won 1st place in 2005 in the International Songwriting Contest (ISC). In 2003 Suzie was awarded the Canadian Maple Blues Female Vocalist of the Year. A Saskatoon native living in Toronto, Suzie is the owner of a gorgeous, powerful voice and performs with a sweet mixture of engaging candidness and unparalleled musicianship. Her music is roots-based branching out into blues, folk and pop - she's been known to treat audiences to delightful surprises that highlight her incredible musical versatility.Suzie has been featured nationally on CBC Radio on Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Café, and has performed across Canada and the US, and for Canadian Peacekeepers in Bosnia and the Persian Gulf.
