Three guys, one dream. To do the thing we love full time.It all started in Jan 2001, Jon was Djing where ever, Sassa was writing and recording and Dominic was working on various projects. A chance meeting at a new years eve party Jon was told to give this guy Dominic a ring and that they should work together. So it started. Both had a love for dance music and started working on their first track. Jon and Sassa had been friends for years but both at different ends of the music world. Jon asked Sassa to come along to the studio to help on a track. And 'Angel' was created. The trio worked well together and then a string of tracks came out including 'Dream Tonight', 'Never a Cloud in the Sky' and 'Living a Fantasy'.As the trio grew, their roles bacame more apparent. Dom was and still is the centre peice. Jon would come in armed with cds and ideas and then Sassa and Dom would go to work. Jon would then apply finishing touched to achieve the club / dance effect. Jon would then take tracks, play them out and try to reach industry people. (a tiresome task)Over the first eighteen months about 10 tracks were produced. And Maximus finally got hooked up with a management company lead by Jeremy Nargi. That all looked great in the begining but in the end it lead to 5 remixes. Maximus worked with Tommi, Kezi Silverstone, Cookie, Sirens and Felany. All remixes were great, but nothing that would enable Maximus to become the force they wanted.The next couple of years were frustrating. Day to day pressures started taking their toll and Maximus calmed down.Sassa left to pursue acoustic avenues. (check his myspace out, awesome) Dom and Jon made a couple of awesome bootlegs. and then we stopped....April 06 we all got together. Sassa had written an amazing song call I'm the hero now. He wanted a maximus working. so Dom and Sassa got to work. Jon had decided he wanted another stab at getting Maximus out there. So a few demo cds were sent out. And for once he got a call. Alister from Ambush Management called and loved one of the tracks, a bootleg of a level 42 track. So Maximus were back in business. Dom and Jon are currently working on the track with Vocalist Mia J and the track will hopefully be getting the treatment it deserves and Maximus will finally get the recognition needed to enter the next chapter.Maximus are now represented by Ambush Artists Management and have finished recording something about you with Mia J. We are now signed to Blue Bamboo records. So watch this space.
