About Me

For as long as I can remember ive loved music. Thanks to my big bro I got into Dance/Rave around 92 and havenâ€™t looked back since. Been messing around on the dex since about 93 but I only started taking it seriously around 95 started off playing hardcore since then ive moved to hard trance then techno. Ive been lucky enough to play out a various nights across Scotland including, Twisted & Brainfire, European techno heaven @ the Barras, Out of control, Resistance, Relentless, Tomz project and infextious. Right now i'm been workin on building up a home studio and producing my own stuff (watch this space).Just for the record the story behind my name... Once in a land far far away in a time before star wars episode 2. I was called steph the rookie (mainly because i was new to the dj'ing in a club lark,LOL)when i invited my good friend and club promoter AL Twisted to a party plus food in my house. Next thing i know Al had changed my name on his flyer to steph the chef as a dig at me. and since then it's kinda stuck. you gotta admit its better that the rookie. So thanks AL!

My Interests

In no particular order. Music Production, DJing, Beer, T in the Park, Celtic FC, Computer Technolgy and lettin off some steam at a good night out.

Love all forms of techno from laid back minimal to hard as hell Shranz also like old hard trance, Hardcore, Hip-Hop, DnB and house.

Movies:

Star wars, lost boys, ferris buler's day off, trainspotting, Indiana jones, nightmare on elm st, Human traffic and anything by tarantino.

Television:

24, the Simpsons and anything on discovery Channel.

Books:

All dan browns stuff, no mean city, the hobbit and a good manual.

Heroes:

Homer Simpson and jack bauer lol. Also gotta lot of respect for Dr Dre, Public enemy, Carl cox, Mark eg, The Stay up Forever Collective, Umek, The Prodigy, Hixxy, Daft punk, Norman Cook, lenny dee, M-zone, Marc smith, Eric sneo, Brisk, cave, 2 many dj's, Marco bailey. I could go on and on.
