About Me

Past: corporate marketer. Present: business owner, volleyballer and part-time writer. Future: best-selling novelist :)..

My Interests

In business - marketing and brands In sport - volleyball and darts (!) In life - writing my first novel, and my family

I'd like to meet:

Past: Thomas Chatterton, John Milton, Elizabeth Bathory, Samuel Johnson Present: Anne Rice, Cristina Scabbia, Amy Lee...

Music:

Anything that fires my imagination.

Movies:

Too many to list but those I'd watch over and over include: Gallipoli Gattaca Gothic From Dusk til Dawn Bram Stoker's Dracula The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Television:

24. There are too many channels now and it's all too fragmented - easy to miss the good stuff amongst the drivel.

Books:

Currently reading and researching 18th century history for my own novel. Otherwise, mostly horror fiction and some sci-fi. Also like WW1 poets. Biggest influences on my own writing are: Stephen King, Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, John Milton (Paradise Lost), Thomas Hardy (Tess). Other favourites include Orson Scott-Card (Ender series), Dan Simmons (Hyperion series) and Tolkien, of course.

Heroes:

selfless people who create joy and comfort for others
