ORLANDO MACHADO's unique and prominent talents have established him as one of South Floridas most sought after drummer/percussionists. His versatility, perceptiveness, and sensitivity to style has propelled his career as an extremely eclectic, well versed musician. The precision of his playing as an artist boasts rhythms which are powerful and highly musical. His work has been displayed in national jingles,television spots and films-thus once again highlighting his extreme versatility. Born in Santa Clara, Cuba and raised in Miami,Florida, Orlando showed percussive interest at an early age by playing rhythms on pots and pans. After witnessing how talented their son was, Orlando's parents were convinced to buy him his first drum kit at the age of seven. He was then able to expand on his new-found talent at such prestigious music schools as PAVAC(Performing and Visual Arts Center),and New World School of the Arts. He also received full music scholarships at Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University. Soon after his first experiences as a professional drummer, he was asked to perform in various world-wide music festivals which elevated his young career even further. Orlando Machado stands to be one of South Floridas greatest drummer/percussionists. His charisma and fervor for the drum kit has proven over and over to be masterful. With his awesome feel, and empathetic control of volume are just some of the attributes which secure his position as not just a drummer, but a true artist. Orlando is also available for gigs, and is fluent in the following musical languages and styles: jazz, latin, pop, rock, hip-hop, funk, classical, and folk. He is currently running his own studio where he does his tracks for drums & percussion.Orlando is truly an asset to any ensemble, and will continue to be considered among the very finest of drummers.
