Hello my people!!
My name is Sharon Mitchell and I am originally from Brooklyn NY. I'm going to make this short and sweet! My parents are of West Indian Heritage .....Jamaica and Cuba! I've been singing in New York since the age of 14 in bands all around New York. I've been in wedding bands, House Bands and sung on my own all of my life. I started out in church with my dad. My dad has a beautiful voice. He sings just like Nat King Cole (well to me) Anyho, I moved to California and then to Boston doing the same thing just to pay for College.I moved back to New York for a while and became a financial news reporter for Reuters (the news station). While doing that I sang with many more bands doing more weddings, parties and clubs. So really to make a long long story short I moved to Miami and had a manager that told me about a special gig. This gig would bring me all the way to Mallorca Spain. He said that they were auditioning ladies for a girls group similiar to The Supremes! So I auditioned and got the gig to go to Mallorca Spain in 1993. I sang at a place called Son Amar with the other 2 ladies. It was a big Las Vegas like show with magic dancers and singers. After the first year they asked me to do the show on my own with a big production behind me. I worked there for 6 years after that and I've been here ever since. My husband sings too. BOY DOES HE SANG!!!! I met him at Son Amar and now we have 3 beautiful children together which we are very proud of. We work together and separate everyday. I'm hoping to someday do more with my life in music. Thanks so much for coming to my page. I hope you like the music.....tell me what ya think if you have the chance!!
