Reading and writing, music and friends, drinking and smoking. Oh, and Vibration Training. And marmalade on toast. And Tasmanian Devils. All the Tasmanian Devils. They're GRRRRRRRRREAT!
They're all dead - s'pose that's why I'm not too afraid of dying! Johnny Cash, that's for damn sure. I read in an interview with Joaquin Phoenix that when he met Cash before he was chosen to play him in "Walk the Line", he said "I love your work, especially in that movie 'Gladiator' - I loved it when you said [the thing about the kid crying like a girl when they killed him and the wife moaning like a whore when they "ravaged" her]."
Phoenix said this was just after Cash and his wife had been singing Praise and Worship songs at the dinner table. How could you not want to sit down and have a chat with someone that extreme? Also, I'd like to meet bats like Bitty Bit:
adopt your own virtual pet!And more great people like these cats:
D'Angelo, Talib Kweli, I love the new Arctic Monkeys (good on you SkeeterBot) and anything that's interesting really. Bit of Peaches, bit of Lady Sovereign, bit of Yeah Yeah Yeahs... But then some old cool stuff - just anything good, I guess. Oh, and of course, Whitney. And Mariah - old, pre-Heartbreaker mainly (it's my not so secret shame).
Fight Club! It's my favourite! The Graduate, Reality Bites (I know... But it's my best hungover emo movie!), Howl's Moving Castle... God, do you really want me to keep going? I love the filims.
Lost! I'm so addicted. CSI - Gris and the team and Horatio. Not New York. Boston Legal: Denny Crane baby! Oh, and my most favourite show of all time: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL! And reppin' NZ, Outrageous Fortune. Oh, and also, my idol and yours: MARTHA.
Homeboy by Seth Morgan. And I hate to say it, but Iceberg Slim's Pimp. Arcadia by Tom Stoppard (it's a play, but it's frickin' mean and it comes in book form so it counts). How to Win at Poker by Jeff Rubens - a compelling read. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close: A Novel by Jonathan Safran Foer. It's my new favourite book of all time. Also both Vice books - the DOs and DON'Ts book and the Vice Guide to Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll. I love books.
Peaches! Ha! I'd love to just rock a beard and everybody still want a piece of my slice. Martha Stewart. Karyn Hay - media personality and established writer and married a rock star and is even from New Zealand. Oskar Schell - I don't care if he's fictional. Great Spratt. Great Times.
