SYNOPSIS
Everyday life for an employee is rough. Everyday life for a bigot is even harder.
When a group of diverse co-workers retreat to the break room for a routine mid-day snack, a quarrel about who gets the last pineapple-flavored water turns to a heated passive-aggressive battle among man, woman, white, black, yellow, brown, purple and little. In an environment where political correctness holds no bearing and epithets are rule of law, nine co-workers must settle their differences while being as professional as possible. THE MAKING OF...

Being highly influenced by comics such as Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle, who have dealt heavily with racial issues, Sameer Asad Gardezi envisioned a piece that would speak to a more modern world that moved beyond Black vs. White humor a world where racism was not limited to the Anglo and African American, but rather, open to people of all colors and creeds. In Sameers eyes, everyone had something wrong with them. What was racist was not telling the world about it.

After getting banned from several internet chat rooms pleading his case, Sameer lost all hope until Camille Mana read his script and shared his vision. Once her sitcom One on One got cancelled, mainly because the network felt there were just too many Asians on television, Camille decided to hone a new craft and produce Sameers script (because her parents pressured her).

Camille contacted Howard Duy Vu who went to his townhouse in Big Sur to read the script. He saw something no one else did a beautiful story about love, life and death. Having accidentally read the wrong script, Howard put it down, waited two weeks, then read Equal Opportunity while loading his iPod playlist from his computer and figured he could punch it out in a day or so. The only problem now was threatening a cast and crew to agree to help out. Camille and Howard left that to Sameer and all was well.

Sameer sends his thanks from Guantanamo Bay.
