I won the 1979 MVP; I can do whatever I want.

About Me

Hey guys, it's Keith. Keith Hernandez. Some people know me as Keith, others as "Mex" and, still, others as simply "awesome." Without question, I'm one of the most influencial people in the history of sport.Throughout my playing career, I managed to garner 2 World Series championships, the 1979 NL MVP (suck it, Stargell), and perhaps most impressive, eleven (11) straight Gold Gloves at 1st base. Despite these credentials and a lifetime .300 average, the Hall of Fame commitee continues to shun me year after year. True, I never hit for power; I never needed to. I just left it all out on the field game after game. I was known for coming up with clutch RBI's and possess the all-time single season record for game-winning RBI's in a season. I continue to be a part of the baseball community by broadcasting Mets games every once in a while. My insightful, sometimes blunt, comments make me a prized commodity in the broadcasting profession. Some people, and by that I mean "women", are occasionally offended by my opinions. But that's ok, because we all know baseball is a man's game. But still, I'm not all about baseball. I love working out and playing basketball with the commoners in the New York Health Club. I'm really just like any normal guy, only better. I have my demons just like any other person. Admittingly, I was a regular cocaine user during my playing career. However, I have since come clean and now only use coke during my spare time. I can quit whenever I want to. People have tried to spread rumors about my personal demeanor. I've been accused of being a sexist and for spitting on fans. I would never waste my spit on fans and women just know that they want me.Some personal facts about me: I'm a huge American Civil War buff. I like to work the mental muscles as well. I'm well-read and articulate. I also like to collect exquisite pieces of antique furniture, including a solid, 3 inch marble coffee table and a huge sectional sofa. In addition to this, I like to move quite frequently. You know, change things up a bit. Because of this, I often ask random people to help me move, just to see if people will do it. It's quite entertaining really.I love interacting with the fans. I also like to have a good time. That probably doesn't come as a surprise to you. I love to smoke and drink lots of beer. If you're ever in New York City, make your way to Elaine's Night Club on the east side. I'm known to be there quite frequently. Thanks for being a fan.Hearts, Keith

Well, the Hall of Fame commitee recently voted on 2007 inductions. And again, strange as it may seem, I was shunned. How can this be? I don't want to cry crack-discrimination, but it's starting to loo...
