Get Your Own! | View SlideshowGianCani first fell in love with hip hop music at the age of 8 when meeting Norville Small (Tariq Simon) in the early 80-ies. Norville was the initiator of the infamous Rap Attack parties in the city of Amsterdam, where young Cani saw Dutch pioneer hip hop acts like Freak-Aristic and The Small Boys perform. Round '94 Cani got introduced to DJ Chainsaw who acquainted him with the ins and outs of the rap game and laid some turntabalistic cuts on his first demo tape. After a hookup in 2003 with Sceme and Heist-Rockah things started to get more serious.Right now GianCani focuses on tracks with Javlin & Heist-Rockah. Besides he worked with artists such as Sceme (Escalatie Team), Paulie Flows, Dr. Duister (NSC), DJ Turne, Labradic, Dopaganda (Escalatie Team) Greg Kerkwerper (Escalatie Team) and Rosa Ana. You can also check out productions on the following mixtapes: Exo-Z - Met de Pet Rond Mixtape, Regga - Mic Check Mixtape, Appa - De Meest Onderschatte.Besides hiphop Cani now does some more soul productions together with the Brooklyn / Amsterdam based pianist, singer & songwriter Robert Bosscher and works with artists such as Sanguita, Falloney, Darque, Rafaella Herbert, former Freak-Aristic singer Nardo Brudet, and the gospel band of evangelische gemeente 'De Rots'.
