About Me

The PERK is an independently-owned coffeehouse in the city of College Park, Maryland. With live performances most nights of the week including the region's largest Open Mic Night on Tuesdays - the Perk is your home for live music and eclectic events. We also host art shows by local artists and welcome groups and organizations of all kinds to make the Perk their meeting place of choice.

The menu @ The PERK is a mÃªlÃ©e of traditional Mediterranean tapas meets nuevo American bistro. Portions are small and sharing is the expected norm. Meals are intended to be taken at a leisurely pace while enjoying the company of good friends and great conversation.

WANNA PLAY THE PERK??Would you like to play a set or organize a show for you band(s)? Check out our Myspace calendar, which is updated several times a week. Pick a few open dates, or choose a day booked by a band whose sound would work well with yours, and send us a myspace message including your band's name, and the dates & times you are interested in playing. We'll book you according to what we have available!! (Please be aware that some dates are booked by re-occuring weekly and monthly events, like our Tuesday open mic.)
