The Black Finks

About Me

Lou Black and Glenn Fink started playing together in 2006 as a means of getting back to the basics, and writing some new material along the way.
Glenn released his first solo CD, Hot Stoves Burn , in 2007, and is currently in the process of launching his own electric band to have alongside the more acoustic Black Finks. Glenn previously led Moxie Brown , acting as their frontman and primary songwriter. Before that he was in Laughing Water , a Grateful Dead cover band with some shows posted at archive.org.
Lou Black’s background is unusual to say the least. He is a Peruvian born singer/songwriter, UK educated statistician/researcher, a published author in several fields, and former soothsayer to Fortune 500 companies. His debut album has been described by the press as “sophisticated global pop” and “one of the best in the singer songwriter genre,” but Lou Black describes his music as “subversive songs of social commentary and personal struggle.”
