About Me

peace! i'm from the wilderness of north america and currently reside in brooklyn, ny (STAND UP!).. my parents are from ponce, puerto rico (mom) and santiago, cuba (dad). y si puedo hablar, leer, escribir y entender espanol (es mi primer idioma).. my love for music comes from early on listening to danny rivera, hector lavoe, celia cruz, tito puente, raphy leavitt and others (hey my parents didn't speak english haha) while growing up in union city & west new york, nj and the bronx, ny.. after the birth of hip-hop, my musical appreciation came to include a much wider range of music such as classic soul, jazz, funk, dancehall raggae, r&b, house, and subsequently techno and electro.. the love for hip-hop (at least as it was in the 80's and early 90's) led me to want to make beats and produce.. *RANDOM ACTUAL FACTS- i am the eldest of 6 brothers. i am single & have no children. the 1st real instrument i learned to play was the turntable (cuttin & scratchin) at age 14. the 1st drum machine we ever owned was the roland tr-626 back in 1987. at this time i also began to learn the art of diggin for vinyl. we produced our very 1st track on a reel-to-reel in 1988. i lived in houston, tx from 1985 to 1990 (my whole family is there now). the first time i saw a pic of the Father was back in 1985. i knowledged 120 & showed and proved for my flag in front of our school in mecca in april, 1991. i attended kean college of nj from 1992-1994. i became a publisher member of ASCAP in 1994. i work for an evil corporate conglomerate that is hellbent on taking over the tri-state area. the 1st blackman i ever remember seeing on television was a young morgan freeman on "the electric company" back in the early 70's. the 1st latina i ever had a crush on was iris chacon (hahahaha). i don't drink alcohol occasionally. i prefer phillies over dutches. it saddens me that hip-hop doesn't live on the radio anymore. it bothers me that too many blacks & latinos believe that we are not the same people. i hate tv yet i have over 600 dvds & tv show boxed sets.. the mission for 2008- house music production! in the meantime, look at my blog for the links and playlists to all my deep-house and electro-house expression mixes.. streaming & downloading of all my mixes is completely free so enjoy!
