1st July 2008: Remix News There's a few things going on remix wise at the moment so thought I'd fill you all in on the details. Firstly I've got to say congratulations to Kirby who's remix of my 'Playin' Jazz' track has hit No.5 on the Deep House Sales Chart at Beatport. Meanwhile I've completed a couple of remixes recently. The first one was of the Emil Lanne track 'Beat Street' on Onethirty. This one is out now at Stompy and Traxsource, and was described by Jay-J as a ""Funky, groovin, dance floor dubby track" when he charted it in his Top 10 for Traxsource last week. Also just finished is a mix for a JP Phillippe track "Providence Of The Cosmos" for Disclosure Project Recordings. You can check a preview of the remix on the label's myspace player at www.myspace.com/disclosureprojectrecordings Other remixes coming up in the next few months include a remix of Da Funk's track 'Sativa' for his Acryl Music label and of 'Gimme A Beat' for Andrew Phelan & Origami. And don't worry there's plenty of original material in the pipeline too!

BIOGRAPHY:With a seemingly insatiable appetite for producing quality dance music and an ability to switch effortlessly between the scenes numerous genres twenty eight year old Ross Couch has become an established and highly respected producer in recent years with over 20 releases and remixes under his belt on an impressive list of cutting edge labels.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, a long recognised hotspot within the dance music community, it's little wonder that Ross quickly became seduced by the rapidly evolving sound of house and techno in the early 90's, and he quickly became involved in producing his own material. His productions first came to light on the Bellboy and Panther labels where his difficult to pigeonhole brand of dancefloor techno and melodic tech house had him being compared in the press to numerous dance music illuminaries such as Deep Dish, Dave Angel, Slam and Ron Trent to name but a few, whilst DJ support came from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Colin Dale.
From their Ross stepped up a gear, pushing a more house based sound drawing from deeper and funkier styles whilst still retaining the drive and energy of his techno productions which has now become recognised as something of a trademark. This helped secure releases on a series of highly regarded labels such as Siesta, Kinky Vinyl and Red Melon, picking up placings on the influential Hype and Coolcuts charts along the way whilst DJ's right across the board gave their support, from Pete Tong to Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox to Deep Dish, Mazi to Omid 16B, and many more.
Hailed in DJ Magazine as "One of the last year's freshest talents", Ross is continuing to go from strength to strength in 2007. He now has close ties to the world reknowned Bargrooves empire which has already seen several 12" releases and remixes across their series of labels as well as appearances on many of their popular mix CD's. With two new labels called Body Rhythm Records and Soul Life Recordings and a new alias Illusive on the way plus more releases and remixes scheduled it's fair to say that you'll be hearing a lot more from this in-demand producer in the coming year.
