About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorThe “Bongoloverz” project was established in July 2002 by Cologne DJs / producers, Groovemaster K. & Daniel Garcia, together with multi-instrumentalist, Alexander Klaus. All had already made a name for themselves on the international house scene with their previous productions and remixes for such record labels as Work Records, Caus-N-Effect, Clubstar and Conya. Many of the first Bongoloverz productions, such as “Salida del Sol”, “Under the Ground” and the three “Funky Traxx” club series, immediately made it into the DJ Mag UK Hype Charts. Remix work for Jamie Lewis, DJ Pippi (“Impress Me”) and Francesco Farfa (“Universal Love”) – to name just a few – followed soon after.Bongoloverz achieved the probably most important milestone in their career to date in October 2004. In conjunction with vocal artist, Anton “An-Tonic” Eldridge from Detroit, they released the single, “Power of Music” on Brian Tappert’s legendary Soulfuric label in the US, which for many years has enjoyed the highest international standing with its many releases by such artists as Jazz’n’Groove, Soulsearcher, Ron Carroll, Copyright, Axwell and Cleptomaniacs. “Power of Music” reached No. 1 in the DJ Mag UK Hype Charts and was to be found in the playlists of almost every famous House DJ in the world. With the Latin-American singer, Ursula Cuesta from Buenos Aires, Bongoloverz then released their follow-up single, “La Esperanza / Hope & Faith” on the Soulfuric Trax label in summer 2005. Especially the“Guitarra Dub” became a club hit on Ibiza and was later reworked into a mash-up for the Defected “Wax Wars” compilation by Brian Tappert using the acappella vocals from the Copyright’s hit, “Bulo”. This was subsequently released on a special white label called “Bongo da Bulo”, and was also hammered continuously by the top DJs.Due to the magnificent response throughout the world to the “Power of Music” vocals, Bongoloverz again met up with An-Tonic in the studio to work on a follow-up production in autumn 2005. Their third Soulfuric single, “Spirit of House”, was created from the unique spiritual lyrics and the incomparable driving Bongoloverz sound in time for the Winter Music Conference 2006 in Miami. It became one of the most played house tracks during the WMC and again confirmed Bongoloverz’ standing on the international house scene. After releasing “La Fiesta”, with Latin singer, Ursula Cuesta, on DeVice Records and some remixes for artists like The Layabouts or Justin Michael, the Bongoloverz now finished their latest production "Cheza", featuring the vocals of Joyce Ouko from Nairobi / Kenya. Watch out for this african styled summer anthem, to be released soon on Soulfuric Deep Records.
