Who Is SkaMonkey
We are the Ska Monkey team, that is Tony E.,Tony D,and Ash, we try to bring to the North East the type of live music we like, that is anything exciting, anything new, bands with originality and attitude, bands that will appreciate the friendly and eclectic crowd that is prevalent in the north east. We have had great success over the past couple of years and have hosted all styles from punk to hardcore, Ska to pop, rock to acoustic. Bands interested in playing at our events should contact any of the email addresses on the site www.skamonkey.com, leave details of myspace, websites etc, dont be put off if you arent computer literate, and/or come and see us at a gig, we are keen to get you to play if you have made the effort to be in a band. We have a large sound system that we are keen to use for your gigs...it can be up to 8k and has been used outside from the back of a lorry and indoor in large venues, the Ska monkey team are experienced DJs, featuring Ash from northern soul alliance, and Tony, they have a wide mix of vinyl and CDs from Ska to psychedelic, punk to Brit pop and more. we dont charge the earth and give maximum value!! Put www.skamonkey.com in your favourites column and keep check for the upcoming gigs,we are monthly at the superb ELEPHANT and also coming up are gigs at the legendary BUBBLES. we often do outdoor gigs at short notice, following the sun, any bands that will play for nothing are welcome, everyone tries to share gear, they are the best events possible!!
