Chris first started Djing at the age of 15, driven by his passion for House music. From the beginning his style has been diverse, combining the best of Tech House, driving Electro, Progressive and some twisted, horrible Breakbeat to create his own unique sound. While his style may take inspiration from his heroes including Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela and the Plump DJs, it still remains unique to Chris.
In 2005, Chris exploded onto the scene by winning the Sankeys Soap and 4clubbers DJ competition which gave him the opportunity to impress alongside James Zabiela and François K at Tribal Sessions, Manchester. Having proved he was up to the task, Chris was asked back by Tribal consistently until they made him a resident at their monthly nights at Mission, Leeds.
At the age of just 21, Chris regularly performs to large, adoring crowds across the North in Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool amongst other places and has played alongside some of the World’s finest including Trentemoller, Claude Von Stroke, D Ramirez, Tania Vulcano, Funk D’Void and Elite Force to name but a few. His sensational performances have earned his other residences as well as Tribal Sessions including Jambossa in Liverpool, Surroundz in Leeds and Deviate in Newcastle.
With his incredible enthusiasm behind the decks, his ability to please any crowd, anywhere, a residency at one of the world’s most renowned nights.and his exceptional DJ skills, the future is extremely bright for Chris Kitchen…
