About Me

For my 'work in progress' music page please come over yonder
Yo! My name is Louise (or Fifties as I have been randomly nicknamed) and I am a Northern Irish Designer/DJ currently residing in the midlands of England where I live with my housemates and an array of animals with behavioral problems including a horrible dog with a ginger beard called Scraggles (see photos) as well as 2 boa constrictors & a hyperactive hamster.
I like to play lots of different styles of music and I like pretty much anything as long as it's not shit - a simple philosophy but a good one! You can usually catch me playing at various nights in and ‘bout town inc. Moda who recently hosted the Radio 1 Essential Mix as part of the 'Introducing' tour. I play electro, techno, tek-house, breaks, with a dash of bassline with everything else inbetween :-). Other influences include indie music of the 90’s and 70’s disco.
I do not like R&B, Hip-Hop or Irish traditional music much to the disappointment of my parents ;-)
I love making mixtapes and over the past while I've been lucky enough to be featured in both iDJ's Raw Talent Competition and also Dj Mag's Pick n' Mix (both can be downloaded at the bottom of the music section).
For my ‘proper’ job, I work as a graphic design & freelancer in my spare time mainly for Fat! Records and I occasionally take on extra design projects so if you need a hand, drop me a line and i might be able to help out.
P.S. Pleeeeeaze don't add me just to spam my page with rank flyers designed in Paintshop Pro - it makes me hate you
P.P.S. Also, please don't add me if you are a band as i don't really like music like that anymore for various reasons), a half naked chick from America desperate for me to take a survey, boys with top friends fully of porn stars, a shop selling goods that no one would ever want to buy or a potential stalker.
