Band Members:only me!
Influences: Current DJ's that influence me include : John Digweed, Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Nic Fancuilli, Dave Seaman
and people that make the music that i love include Buick project/skylark, Eric Prydz/Cirez D, Paul Harris, Micky Slim, King Unique, Quivver, Slacker, Jon Gurd, D-Nox, Mark Knight, Audiofly, Satoshi Tomiie, and so many others! From days gone i'm influenced by : Dave Morales (pushing his Red Zone sound), Graeme Park (and his immaculate musical programming), Larry Levan (The Legend), Sasha (I learnt how to build DJ sets from watching him), good old acid house, Digweed made me love his musical style, to the point where i used to follow him everywhere when he played...Going Back even further - I was well in to Old School hip-hop like Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Dougie Fresh, Eric B & Rakim, some of the old electro albums etc - and tunes like Herbie Hancock - Rockit! , plus 80's dance like Luther vandross, Alexander O'Neal, and all of that kind of stuff! but also at the same time I loved Tears For Fears, Level 42, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Pet Shop Boys and even Stock, Aiken and Waterman if I'm brutally honest (I did used to know Pete Waterman many years ago, but thats another story!)- until house drifted on the scene back in 1987!My mum used to like Disco like Kool & The Gang and My Dad was more into the Beatles, so I was brought up with some good music!
Sounds Like: I suppose I play Chunky 'Post Prog' (apparently prog doesnt exist anymore?? I'd say prog is more a style of dj-ing rather than a musical style...)
So, its tough housey techie stuff with balls? A little minimal, a little techno, a little acid house but mainly rather phat solid stuff. I'm loving Digweed's, Fanciulli's, Howells & Cattaneo's music, so not a million miles away from them?!?! But with a definate Parry twist!
