Ged Lever is a man of many stlyes and faces.Being totally immersed in music since being a toddler,Ged always showed an unprecedented attraction to music and anything to do with music.Growing up with a father who..s favourite bands included The Beatles, The Kinks, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to name a few and a mother who..s musical medicine was Soul & Mowtown,Ged musical influences were always vast.Cue high school and Geds musical world was opened right up into more underground goodness.Getting himself totally immersed into the underground hip hop culture with lifelong freind Lee Scott (Antiheroes,Children Of The Damned,Mr Wrong) Ged bought his first set of decks,a battered old pair of Soundlab learners with a dusty old Soundlab mixer.Teaching himself to beatmix by watching countless videos of Jocks such as Mixmaster Mike, Numark & Cut Chemist, Dj Shadow and many more.Then when getting his hands onto a pair of 1210..s things changed allot.Being veered towards the world of Trance by hearing classic tunes such as Barbers Adagio For Strings, Airwave and Silence played by his brother,Ged started to play Trance.
Constantly spending all of his money in 3beat,Ged started to be opened up to House & Techno by 3beat wizards Jemmy,Adam,Thomas & Steve Parry and had finally found his calling.Never looking back on Trance but always harbouring a deep love for Hip Hop,Ged has now bagged himself a residency with new night BARRACA,holding its opening event on the 28th of march 2009 in a secret location,and also being a regular at Definitive Promotions events who run Dirty Ticket & Dirty Circus to name a few.Geds relationship with the Definitve Promotions team have bagged him slots in upcoming shows supporting dance behemoths Bassment Jaxx & Simian Mobile Disco and Liverpool Hip Hop legends Dj Rasp,Mac & Philly Whizz from The Shakti aswell as up and coming Hip Hop outfit Systems DMC.Aswell as playing along side local legends Steve Parry & Chibuku resident Dash.2009 looks like it is going to be a good year for Ged so keep ur eyes and ears peeled for this up and coming talent.This is what happens when you fall asleep in my houseMe off my head in creamfields 2005
