Watch the trailer for "Resurrection County" below for examples of my work. I live and work out of a 30' motor home named Barth and a 35' 5th wheel studio workshop. I can go where the work or play is. Sewing and the textile arts are my life. If I can spin, ply, knit, crochet, tat, sprang naillbind, weave, knot, needle, cut and sew it, I am a happy camper.I design and construct clothing and accessories. I am adept at using historic construction techniques. I do alterations of all sorts, and am willing to tackle any new or different project. I work in fabric, leather, plastic, and anything else that can be cut and put back together in a different way to make a “new thing”. I like to think of myself as "Mystrix of All Things Textile". I am willing to go where the work is, and have loads of equipment including sewing machines, irons, comercial steamer, w/d shop vac., corset making tools and supplies, garment racks and hangers, and a selection of historic wardrobe. Our group goes to schools, state parks, historical societies, and other venues to educate folks about the "good old days".I have been with my beloved Grizz for 24 years and our pair of boxers, Oscar and Nia, for going on 4 years. And then there is Wee Beastie. It makes living mobile interesting.
