Hey now folks! I'm so very Grateful to be here! People call me Sundog for reasons unknown, I guess because of a TV show I once produced called the Tim Sundog Show. I've been putting together some nice family festivals and shows for the last 12 years. In a nutshell, I started with a TV show in Madison Wisconsin called the Tim Sundog Show. We hosted local bands every Saturday night "Live" on WYOU Cable Channel 4. It became a hit with the college students at the University of Wisconsin. Then, I started with getting regional bands, and then national artist such as Merl Saunders, Vince Welnick, David Gans, PROFESSOR LOUIE & THE CROWMATIX, Justin Kreuztmann, ect. You get the picture!
So, then I decided to try organizing a festival, and I starting with "Zappening 2000" www.Zappening.freeservers.com which worked out fine! It was my way of saying thank you a guy from Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention named Jimmy Carl Black (hes the Indian in the Group). Jimmy was a big influence in my life at the age of 18 years old. We built a friendship, and then he let me be a roadie for his band called "Geronimo Black". After the end of the Zappening 2000 festival, I felt that I had found my calling in life. I felt good about Zappening 2000, but I consider myself a Deadhead and set my sights for a Deadhead gathering, hence the "Sundog Summer Shakedown" was born in 2001 with the help of many friends, bands, and Vince Welnick (former keyboardist from the Tubes, and the Grateful Dead). The S.S. Shakedown continued it up until 2002 till I retired the name, and took a break in 2003 to gather my thoughts.
Success is failure turned inside out. I feel that failing on something just means you didn't tap into it right, so I continued until I got it right, and I'm still learning along the way! With that said, in 2003, the 3G's or the "Grateful Garcia Gathering" came to life with Melvin Seals & JGB headling the festival. The first 3G's was in Black River Falls and was home there until 2007. It was a nice venue and we made many friends along the way, but the venue had other plans of its own, and we needed to search for a new venue. Its been a long strange trip, but we've finally found one at Legend Valley Ohio with a little handshake from Steve Trickle! www.LegendValley.net
Jambase artical: After 4 long years of memories, camping, music, and friendships made in Black River Falls Wisconsin, the long strange trip is over for the Grateful Garcia Gathering. The venue in Black River Falls will no longer be holding music festivals after this summer is over. The new home for the Grateful Garcia Gathering is now hosted at Legend Valley ( www.LegendValley.net ), just 20 minutes East of Columbus Ohio!Legend Valley's (formerly Buckeye Lake Music Center in Ohio) owner Steve Trickle has been in contact with the organizers of the Grateful Garcia Gathering - Tim Sundog Corcoran and Anthony Lee, since last January about the possibility's of holding it at Legend Valley, a place where the Grateful Dead performed June 11th 1993. Steve said, "This would be the natural setting for the Grateful Garcia Gathering to be held each summer". The agreement was made by a mere handshake, and a smile! The 3G's is always set to date in between Jerry Garcia's birthday August 1st, and his untimely passing of August 9th. The Grateful Garcia Gathering is scheduled for the weekend of July 31st - August 2nd 2008.

Rob is in charge of booking bands ([email protected]), and also trying to set-up timeslots. I don't do it anymore, its just to much for me to handle anymore. The festival is growing, and as it does, its getting Grateful Dead members interested in performing here. With that in mind, they will get all the p.m./nightime timeslots, hence, they've pay their dues 30 years. Plus, its always been about Jerry Garcia's music, and his following!
