About Me

I have a day job and am occasionally a freelance journalist. I run something called YABLOKO MAGAZINE . I’m also a member of Amnesty International, the National Union of Journalists, the Green Party and Q’s (formerly Bee’s) pool & snooker club, which sadly no longer exists. When I’m not out saving the world, I like to hold aloft those treasured values of truth and decency that in these dark times have deserted so many of our fellow, so-called human beings. Every day is a battle against the forces of avarice, twisted logic and social psychosis.
Some of my work...
BIG ISSUE IN THE NORTH article: Faithless (Neo-Atheism & the Attack on God)
PRESS GAZETTE article: How to choose the right journalism course
YABLOKO MAGAZINE article: Renegade Intelligence (David Shayler versus the New World Order)
YABLOKO MAGAZINE article: Chavez, The Left & The Subversion of Free Speech
YABLOKO MAGAZINE article: Iraq & Memories of Tyranny
BIG ISSUE IN THE NORTH article: Marx of the Cross (aka God-fearing & Loathing in Las Vegas)
BIG ISSUE IN THE NORTH article: Brought to Book (Get Into Reading project)
NULL HYPOTHESIS (The Journal of Unlikely Science) article: Microwaves Go To War
PRESS GAZETTE: Catholic hierarchy 'disgraced' itself by ignoring Pope's exhortation
NERVE MAGAZINE: Liverpool, The Yuppie Takeover
Check blog for updates. Anyone who wants to pay me to write something will be warmly welcomed into my loving embrace.

"Walk tall, kick ass, learn to speak Arabic, love music and never forget you come from a long line of truth seekers, lovers and warriors."
Christopher Hitchens
"There is a utilitarian case for free expression. It recognizes that the freedom to speak must also be insisted on for the person who thinks differently, because it is pointless to support only free speech for people who agree with you. It is not only unprincipled to want that, but also self-defeating. For your own sake, you need to know how other people think."
Bill Shankly
"The socialism I believe in is everyone working for each other, everyone having a share of the rewards. It's the way I see football, the way I see life"
