About Me

Close your eyes and imagine that you are in a Tarantino movie. Picture a place where wardens patrol the streets at night and the kids go around biting the dogs. Now open your eyes............. your in Canny Farm, living toe to toe with The Bo Weevils. To tell the story of The Bo Weevils we will have to take you way back to the 20th century, when The Weevils home town was nothing but a few houses, a load of muddy fields and a couple of hundred dogs searching the streets for their next meal. Back then the Four young Weevils Ste, Andy, Ian and Gav were just another handful of hopeful musicians looking to start a band of their own and make their imprint on music. Growing up in the same area a few of the lads started jamming together and after a while they started to get the hang of playing their own instruments. A couple years had passed and the new century was upon us all, Canny Farm hadn't changed much but instead of the kids hunting down the local K-9s they used the dogs to catch bigger and better things. It was the time of the Great Depression and Canny Farm had hit an all time low, THE GREAT GANGA DROUGHT of mid July. It had moved into position fast and took us all by surprise, but while all this was going on and everybody seemed to be focusing all their extra energy on crime, masturbating or looking for that joint they stashed but can't remember where, The Bo Weevils were jamming out new styles of rooted blues, rock and funk. The Bo Weevils were recluse by many standards but stuck to their guns and from this an exciting fresh set of songs where born which show their musical talent and variety. The Bo Weevils have become a diverse band who arent afraid to embrace musical styles and influences in the cause of a fucking good tune! Bo Weevil have returned to the Liverpool scene after a short time on a mission of soul searching, reflection and planning and they are now ready to branch out to bring their melodic craftsmanship upon an unsuspecting public. The Bo Weevils would like to thank Gary Youds and John King for all their help of the last few years. Oh yer and a special thanks to BIG Martin Clarey (page moss) for moving our musical equipment to our new pracky room and carrying our couch up our pracky room stairs which may i add are very very dangerous to climb.... especially with a big fuckin couch on your back ! Thanks Marty, for being so big.
