Lisa Dalton is a Singer/Songwriter/Actress from Liverpool. She graduated from the 'Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts', with a Degree in Music and won a special recognition award from Sir Paul McCartney.
Lisa’s love of singing began at just 2 years old whilst watching 'The Wizard of Oz,’ as soon as she mastered ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow,’ there was no stopping her!!!
Lisa was brought up in a house with eclectic tastes, and being the baby of the family, she not only had the influence of her Mum, Dad and Nan, but also two older sisters and a brother. Her dad loved Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra whilst her brother and sisters influenced her with a mix of Blondie, David Bowie, The Carpenters, Kate Bush and Depeche Mode.
Judy Garland’s album 'Live at Carnegie Hall' fascinated Lisa and her love for the older styles of music began to grow…Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Edith Piaf to name a few.
Lisa’s voice has a richness and emotion which has often been compared with such greats and you can hear these influences in her music.
In recent times, Lisa has lent her vocals to many other artists as a session singer and has toured Spain with Spanish singer 'Carmen Paris' (Warner Bros Records) and regularly collaborates with 'The Great Northwestern Hoboes'.
She has her own band and is currently writing and recording new material...watch this space...
